Mark Amery presents this week’s Te Pae from 6-8pm on Paekakariki 88,2FM with support from the Beach Road Deli. As part of Te Pae’s election series, today’s guest (1.15pm/7.15pm)  is Nicky Hager who had been booked well before his explosive book Dirty Politics came out. With Phoebe Taptiklis and Sylvia Bagnal. Multinstrumentalist Martin Jaenecke brings in a number of the unusual instruments, and we have History with Anthony Dreaver at the Paekakariki Rail and Heritage Museum. Today’s topic is the museum’s beautiful whare which was built by local carver Ray Taylor, and our Maori history. Squawk of the Week is Paekak Community Board Member Sam Buchanan with an update from the Board on the Perkins Farm land and railway pedestrian crossing.

And do tell your friends and neighbours that with our transmitter now up the hill not only should everyone in Paekakariki now be able to hear us at 88.2Fm, but most of Raumati and Paraparaumu  and parts of Pukerua Bay as well. We’d love to hear how your reception is  at [email protected]. Also streaming at www.paekakariki.org.nz

And here’s our whole week schedule:
