Te Pae 24 – 29 August

Now able to be heard on every radio in the village, Kaia Hawkins presents this week’s Te Pae from 12-2pm and 6-8pm on Paekakariki 88.2FM (starting Sunday evening) with support from the Beach Road Deli. As part of Te Pae’s election series, today’s guest after 1pm/7pm  is filmmaker Alister Barry. Known for his intelligent and provocative documentaries,  he joins us to discuss his new documentary “HOT AIR” which addresses climate science and politics specific to New Zealand. The lovely HAIDEE will tell us about what is happening at our local library and Phoebe has been out and about in the village canvassing residents to see what is important in politics to us here in Paekakariki. Spoken Word is from MARY-JANE DUFFY and we have  live music with AL WITHAM, bluesman.

And do tell your friends and neighbours that with our transmitter now up the hill not only should everyone in Paekakariki now be able to hear us at 88.2Fm, but most of Raumati and Paraparaumu  and parts of Pukerua Bay as well. We’d love to hear how your reception is  at [email protected]. Also streaming at www.paekakariki.org.nz

And here’s our whole week schedule:
