Dog poo all over Te Pae this week

Bet that title got your attention (and hope you like our new 11am-11pm schedule designed by Micky Finn). We’re nothing but groundbreaking here in Paekakariki. So groundbreaking this week on Te Pae (daily 12-2pm and 6-8pm) we may be the first radio show in the country ever to focus on doggy doings.

Yes. At least in the wider context of how we love our dogs but need to care for them and their travel through the village. Dogs in Paekakariki is our issue of the week about 6.30 (or 1.30 daytime) with Tilena Jackson (who has Woopy and Bootsy) Carmen Slater (Bart and Salty) and our reporter Gareth speaks to KCDC’s Environmental Standards Manager Nick Fowler.

Also on the show movie reviews from Gabe Bishop Evans, Squawk of the week: Anne Williams: President Whareroa Guardians Community Trust (a place where dogs and their scatterings are welcome), and Neighbour of the Week is Trevor Jennings, a big man with a big dog, living in the big house.  Our spoken word feature is Grace Wynne-Ewans class comedians stand-up turn at BATS Theatre Wellington a month ago.

Community Notices as always at 1pm/7pm.

We welcome your notices, thoughts, ideas and comments to [email protected]. Te Pae/The Perch is presented by Mark Amery and Kaia Hawkins and produced by Melanie Phipps with assistance from Esther Bullen and Rebecca Thomson.
