This month we introduce a brand new schedule going live across the week May 16-22, and then repeating monthly shows for three weeks. That means your favourite shows (and six new ones introduced!) have their own time slot every week for you to to tune into. Te Pae continues to broadcast live Sundays weekly and then repeat for the week. We are trialling this format for this month. We’ll have a calendar up soon to make it easier to navigate.

Sundays 4-5pm The Wildwood Hour
Travels through the vast landscape of country and folk music, with Helen Keivom.

Sundays 5-6pm Parental Misguidance
Join Ed and Luca, father and son, for an hour of pop, punk and polka. Helping to bridge the generation gap through song – Rihanna to the Ramones.

Sunday-Saturday 6-8pm and 12noon-2pm (live on Sunday evenings)
Te Pae (The Perch)
Your weekly news, views, performances and interviews of Paekakariki with host Mark Amery, producer Melanie Phipps and reporter Ester Bullen. Community Notices at 7pm (1pm).

The theme of this week’s Te Pae is Mothers. We will be naturally celebrating motherhood (but we also include alternative views on mother’s day). On the show, singing is mother of five, Holly Jane Ewens , neighbour of week is mother of 3 and laughing yoga exponent Lynda Andrews and our Issue of the Week ‘I don’t know how she does it: working and unpaid mothers’ with Sonia Blazina-den-Otter, Cas Carter and honorary house hubby Matt Ralph. We end the show with a bedtime story for the littlies. Squawk of the Week is Barry Hawkins on Taekwondo and on Community Notices we have special guest star Murray Williams.

Sundays 8-9pm Cocorico Paekakariki, The French Show
Shona and Sebastian present in English and French, stories and an eclectic mix of old and new music from all over the world with an emphasis on French culture and ancient music

Sundays 9pm-10pm The Weather Girls
DJ Fred and DJ Lavender focus on female artists (although not exclusively), interspersed `with weather related topics.

Sundays 10-11pm The Space Doctor

Space, stargazing, astronomical chat and lots of space music, ranging from Holst to Soundgarden, some of which will “evoke a feeling of contemplative spaciousness.” With DJ Mick.

Mondays 5-6pm Word
Why do so many writers live in Paekakariki? Mercedes tries to find out, talking to writers, reading and playing their work.

Mondays, 8-9pm Living the Highlife
Africa: from Lagos to Addis Ababa and back, with Tim Jaray.

Mondays 9pm Anything Could Happen
A sampling of indie rock / pop from the late ‘70s to the present, with a hearty dose of New Zealand content, with Jim Ebenhoh
