The future of Kapiti

This week (28 September to the 5 October) on radio station Paekakariki 88.2FM and its community radio show Te Pae 12noon and 6pm daily there is an extended 45 minute discussion with the Kapiti mayoral candidates about what the future holds for the Kapiti District. What sort of place will this be to live in? What are the opportunities? The challenges? Beyond the issues that have dominated the mayoral campaign what vision do they have for our future?

Listeners from around the district and indeed around the world will be able to listen in on the internet at www.paekakariki.org.nz, and listen to the audio from Wednesday anytime they want in the station’s web audio library archive at https://soundcloud.com/paekakariki-fm.

Also on Te Pae radio show this week you can hear Community Notices (1pm and 7pm), news from Paekakariki Library, a review of movies on in Kapiti with Rachel Benefield and the fourth instalment of local youth drama group The Chameleon’s radio play, Camp McKay.

Listeners everywhere can check out the Audio section of our website for over 70 recordings from previous Te Pae shows this year on local issues, people and performances (with thanks to the work of Barbara MacDonald).
