What to do when your father passes away leaving behind 14 giant murals and an enormous body of prints? Many never seen before. This week on Te Pae, your Paekakariki community radio show we talk to local Kath Foster about looking after the incredible legacy of her father painter John Foster whose impressive mural Requiem, never before exhibited is currently on show at Mahara Gallery. Also on the show, local body Amalgamation – you k now it could well be on the cards but much do you know about it and how will it advantage/ disadvantage us, in the studio Jenny Rowan, Steve Eckert and Janet Holborrow. We kick off the show with a live performance from the wonderful Steph Casey, Carol Reihana, Ngati Haumia, talks about a new exhibition of Kapiti signatories to the Treaty of Waitangi at the museum in the Paekakariki Station Precinct, and we have community notices at 1/7pm.
