Your Winter Radio Warmth

Greetings to you all community. We are all live this week on 88.2FM with some new programmes and some farewells. We’re thrilled to also welcome to the studio the first show from Te Ra School. The new schedule is here and here are the details:

The Collection DJ Paul Cobeldick joins us on Sundays at 5pm & Fridays at 7pm hosting a folk show called The Collection. He’ll be playing contemporary & alternative country & folk, and featuring NZ and International artists.

The Punk Show Te Pae regular DJ Andy McKay is going where angels and the more timid fear to tread. Join him on Sunday & Monday nights from 10-11pm on The Punk Show as he plays music from the start of the Punk era (circa 1975-6) right through to the present, with a focus on Kiwi punk bands. Johnny Rotten, The Damned, Toy Love – get into it!

Te Ra School Show Kaia Hawkins is facilitating a show that will be hosted by pupils of Te Ra school. They’ll record fortnightly Fridays afternoons 2-3pm and repeat Saturdays at 4pm.

Farewell to…

Teenage Talk With Tanira Tanira has been with us for quite a while now, hosting a unique show with a focus on local tangata whenua youth in which she talked about what was happening at Kapiti College, what she was up to and playing some of her favourite music. She’s now a senior student, focussing on her studies and basketball and is taking a break from her show. We wish you well, Tanira and thanks for all your hard work. And if you liked listening to Tanira, tune in to Hana Burge’s new show – Ka Hao Te Rangatahi.

Eartasties This  show has been hosted by Alister Wilson for the past two years or so – covering laid back electronica-ambient music, The Cure and such like. A man with a great ear for tasty music, have a great break from the mic Al.
