A delight amongst modern composers, Koehne produces melodic, rhythmic and tonally appealing orchestrations that will make you feel good. Pieces to be played include \u201c40 reasons to be cheerful\u201d (a fanfare), a short 4-part orchestral suite based on his ballet and contemporary dance commission \u201cTivoli Dances\u201d,\u00a0 a guitar solo, a reflective work for oboe and orchestra, and his bouncy \u201cElevator music\u201d. All are works that will both surprise and enchant.<\/p>\n<p>This months Cecil Road Sessions with Francis Mills\u00a0 (Tuesdays 8pm, Wednesdays 3pm) &#8211; &#8220;There and back again &#8211; (from womad to the far north)&#8221; Recordings from last months Womad. Plus: a few i picked up on our travels north.
