Te Pae September 6 – 13

This week on Te Pae on 88.,2Fm , 12-2pm daily and 6-8pm (Sunday to Thursday) with host Mark Amery we get to play you (in the first hour of the show) a fantastic discussion on the major environmental issues affecting your vote and where the politcial parties sit as we head into the election with Kevin Hackwell of Forest and Bird and local Pete Handford (Groundtruth). We’re joined by Plimmerton singer songwriter Niels Gedge for a live set and have the sports roundup with Gerry. Community Notices at 1pm and 7pm, and then in the second part of the show we hear from a political party you may well have never even heard of, even though it has campaigned at every election since the mid 1950s. Mana & Wellington candidates for party Democrats for Social Credit Ron England and James Knuckey will discuss their party’s platform to reform our economic system. The party believe the development of the modern banking has resulted in nations losing the power to issue most of their own money leaving a  financial system, worldwide,  based on debt. They promise  a guaranteed income for kiwis of all ages. Given their chances of being in government, we find out what drives the campaigning of a small politcal party.

We were sad to find Te Pae off-air last week due to a wifi issue beyond our control.  Thanks for your patience – we are all back on at the station with all new shows this week, running 10am to 11pm

And do tell your friends and neighbours that with our transmitter now up the hill not only should everyone in Paekakariki now be able to hear us at 88.2Fm, but most of Raumati and Paraparaumu  and parts of Pukerua Bay as well. We’d love to hear how your reception is  at [email protected]. Also streaming at www.paekakariki.org.nz
