Te Pae 10 August 2014

2014-08-10 14.28.29

For this week’s Te Pae, Paekakariki’s aural community perch (daily 6-8pm and 12.2pm) we have renamed the village Ripekakariki, in honour of our producer Rebecca (Ripeka) Thomson who after over a year of amazing steering of the Te Pae vessel is stepping down (cake by Sylvia Bagnall including edible kakariki, beer care of Kapiti Cantina).  Amazing work.

On the show we start with live music from Sage,  talk Movies with Rachel and her hot picks for the International Film Festival, Community Notices at 1pm and 7pm, followed by our Squawk – this week at with Jean Kahui from Frack Free Kapiti. Anand from the new Railway Coffee Shop joins us as Neighbour and spoken Word at 7.45pm or 1.45pm is with Deborah Glasgow. Brought to you with the support of the Beach Road Deli.

And do tell your friends and neighbours that with our transmitter now up the hill not only should everyone in Paekakariki now be able to hear us at 88.2Fm, but most of Raumati and Paraparaumu  and parts of Pukerua Bay as well. We’d love to hear how your reception is  at [email protected]. Also streaming at www.paekakariki.org.nz
