Te Pae 12 Oct – 18 Oct: piano performance from Nicole Andrews, local artist and statistician Frances Krsinich, and a conversation about Paekakariki’s streams

This week on Te Pae with DJ Mark Amery: Nicole Andrews is here to open the show with some of her piano playing. Local artist and statistician Frances Krsinich is in to unravel the mysteries of statistics, like how we get price indices. Caroline Welkin is here to talk about her upcoming storytelling workshop.

And our issue of the week is Paekakariki’s streams, their past, present, and future prospects. Stan Abbott and Paul Hughes are here to offer their perspective. An enormous amount of work has been going on behind the scenes, thanks to some amazingly dedicated locals, to work towards preserving, and improving the quality of our local streams, particularly the Wainui stream, which winds through Queen Elizabeth Park.

We’ll finish the segment with a story about tramping from Waikanae writer Robin Fleming.

As always Te Pae will be airing live on Sunday 6-8pm and repeated daily throughout the week 12-2pm and 6-8pm.
