Everybody needs good neighbours. Te Pae your community radio show (88.2FM, www.paekakariki.org.nz) has christened this Paekakariki New Neighbours Week. Last night at St Peter’s Hall Dave Dobbyn observed of this “beautiful community” how people seemed to say hello to each other: so… why not go further this week and strike up an actual conversation with someone you don’t know. This week on the show we do just that welcoming people new to the village in the last year – if you’re one of them you’re welcome to come and join us 6pm at Paekakariki School’s old dental clinic. Also on the show we hear about the upcoming Anaza Weekend art show at St peters which was a huge success last year and we have local music recorded live in a treehouse from a new-ish neighbour Gina Goad.
