Paekakariki new live shows, inspiring cycling and our new bike path,

We are all new radio shows on Paekakariki 88.2FM this week (streaming www.paekakariki.org.nz), including from Thursday at 10am on our first new school radio show of the year . On Te Pae Sunday to Friday 12-2pm and 6-8pm Cycling is a theme this week with our newest reporter Phoebe Taptiklis presenting a beautiful, entertaining and inspiring interview with a 10 year old who has just ridden from Cape Reinga to Wellington, stopping by to make friends for two nights this week in Paekakariki, and Jan Nisbett in too tell us about the Kids Cycling in the Park event next Sunday and the news on the new bike path to Raumati (all after 7pm/1pm).

In the first hour we have live music with Matiu Te Huki, Te Umu a riki is back for our Te Reo segment and in our KISS (Keep in Simple Stupid) interview with a local resident with deep knowledge in a particular subject we talk with Dr Joshu Mountjoy about undersea landslides and volcanos. 1pm/7pm sees the return of Aliki for Community Notices and Gem Tones is in for spoken Word before the show is through. Your presenter Mark Amery is planning to sprinkle the whole show lovingly with a pile of recently released music he’s been hoarding this week. Ace.

Remember you can find heaps of Paekakariki content online at www.paekakariki.org.nz where we also stream the radio on the internet.
