On the Pae radio – Nov 17-23

Hi Folks. This week on 88.2FM I’ve had the pleasure of listening to sublime modern classic, early jazz and a great Lou Reed tribute on MAWP, and that’s just to name a few (all still in repeat this coming week).

Meanwhile this Sunday through to Saturday 23 November (q2-2 and 6-8pm) on Te Pae I have the pleasure of being back in the presenter seat with music from the one and only Iain Gordon from Fat Freddy’s Drop, and Ian with Ema Pomare (Shop Shop) are our Ames Street neighbours’ of the week. Issue of the week is crime in the village with John Stewart our Community Constable, Shona Jaunas who runs a neighbour watch in Ames Street, and Flo McNeill who set up and administers the Facebook site, Paekakariki Trading. Shona provides our spoken word segment a little later. Community Notices are with Aliki and our squawk is with the Paekakariki Fresh Fruit and Vege Co-operative. Finally we’re talking beach clean up with Ryley Webster from Sustainable Coastlines Charitable Trust.

Listeners everywhere can check out the Audio section of our website for over 70 recordings from previous Te Pae shows this year on local issues, people and performances (with thanks to the work of Barbara MacDonald).

Thanks to the Te Pae Production Team of Rebecca Thomson, Sylvia Bagnall ,Meryl Richards, Louise Thornley, Mark Coote and Emily Duizend, and to support from the Beach Road Deli. Te Pae is cohosted by Kaia Hawkins and Mark Amery. We welcome your ideas, comments and contributions to [email protected]
