Live this week and Steam, Squawk and the Re-Use Queen: Te Pae 27 Oct-2 Nov
Y’all we’re live across our radio shows on 88.2Fm this week from Sunday!
And this week on Te Pae (6-8pm and 12-2pm daily), we have live music from Paekakariki groovers The Last Resort, Te Umu-a-riki is back with us in a regular slot celebrating Te Reo Maori, The issue of the week is a look back at the history of rail and its life today – and Paekakariki’s special place in it – as we celebrate 150 years of rail in NZ (with Michael O’Leary, Wayne Mason and Anthony Dreaver), and Community Notices with Emily (1pm and 7pm daily). Squawk of the Week is with new Paekakariki Playcentre Co-President Maria Cameron ahead of next Saturdays community Bonanza, our neighbour of the week is the coordinator of Paekakariki’s Greenest Streets Project, general re-use queen and Ames Street parent, Vicky Noon, and we have spoken Word with the precious Sylvia Bagnall.
Listeners everywhere can check out the Audio section of our website for over 70 recordings from previous Te Pae shows this year on local issues, people and performances (with thanks to the work of Barbara MacDonald).
Thanks to the Te Pae Production Team of Rebecca Thomson, Meryl Richards, Louise Thornley, Mark Coote and Emily Duizend, and to support from the Beach Road Deli. Te Pae is cohosted by Kaia Hawkins and Mark Amery. We welcome your ideas, comments and contributions to [email protected]
