Introducing The Message a film about Paekakariki and Te Pae 3-10 April

This week on Te Pae your community radio show playing 12noon and 6pm daily at 88.2FM we hear from local youth drama group The Chameleons with Julia Truscott and Edison Amery Zwartz, whose new film The Message we feature here. We also hear from Paul Bogunda (Boggy about Rhino Music Day at St Peters on Friday.

Our neighbour of the week is Paul Callister a man with many interests that touch on key issues for our village. Part of the Te Araroa Wellington Trust and heavily involved with Nga Uruora and Friends of Queen Elizabeth Park. Paul has been a key local in the establishment of the new escarpment walk which opens on Saturday. Paul is an economist, with an interest in the distribution of paid and unpaid work and has been at the forefront of New Zealand research on the changing role of men at work and at home. In education, Paul has published widely on the gender dimensions of changes occurring. He has written on public transport and the relationship between cycling and trains and is an environmental activist and keen tramper. Your hosts are Shaun Lawson and Mark Amery.
