Hello Paekakariki North! Te Pae 1-6 May

-1

Paekakariki North! Better known as Emerald Glen, is an idyllic rural hamlet north of Whareroa which has long been identified as part of Paekakariki: but which village residents may these days forget.

This week on Paekakariki 88.2FM’s Te Pae with hosts Mark Amery and Justin Corbett  (daily 12noon and 6pm) we find out more about its history, connection to the village and its current life with residents John Andrew and Judy Haskell. Our local squawk of the week is from ceramics and textiles artist Mary Ellen Childers about pottery classes that are going down a treat at the weaving whare. And we play part two of Michael O’Leary’s history of Paekakariki, read by Johnny Wraight. Streaming at www.paekakariki.org.nz
