Give us a toot a wave or have a peek at 24 Wellington Road

We’re live in your new community radio studio from 3pm today Sunday 2 February and you’ll find a DJ playing live to you in the window from 5pm to 11pm Monday to Saturday (except between 6-8pm when Te Pae runs). Programmes repeat during the daytime (see schedule below). You can call us in the studio on 974 0511.

Today is also the return live of Te Pae, your community radio show brought to you with the support of the Beach Road Deli, 12-2PM and 6-8PM daily, with some tweaks in format (see below).

This week, presented by Kaia Hawkins, we have live music from new resident Steph Casey, the start of oral history sessions about the village’s buildings with Rick Handford (starting this week with our own studio, a former hairdressers Barbara Edgington’s (20-30 years back)), and our neighbour of the week is Te Rangimarie,

Community Notices are back for 2014 with Aliki, the Squawk of the week is a profile of a new 88.2FM show – Green Tea, and spoken word is with legendary village poet Michael O’Leary.

You can now call us in the studio (during songs!) on 974 0511

Now each week we are providing the community with an extended live music segment and alternating our neighbour and issue segment on a fortnightly basis.  We also bring some new segments for your enjoyment, looking at the names of our streets and profiling our historic buildings.  We’d love your feedback so email us on [email protected] or leave comments on our facebook page.

Thanks to the Te Pae Production Team: Rebecca Thomson, Louise Thornley, Sylvia Bagnall, Mark Coote, Harriet Bright, Aliki Westrate and Emily Duizend.

And here’s our flash new schedule – check out your community’s shows, new and old!
